Introducing PV Talent & Training Schedule

The University will be launching its new position management and application tracking system, the PV Talent System, scheduled to go live June 23, 2014. The PV Talent System will replace the current PV PAWS System. The platform for the PV Talent System is completely new. The Office of Human Resources has worked very diligently with input from the university community to make a number of system enhancements that will make the position management and hiring processes more simple and efficient.

As part of the PV Talent System’s roll-out Initiative, all users of the PV Talent System will be required to attend training before access will be granted in the new system. The Office of Human Resources has created an Access Form that will allow departments to identify designated users and their scopes within the system. The access form will be available on the HR website soon. Pre-implementation training initiatives will begin Thursday, June 5-19, 2014. Post-implementation training will begin June 24, 2014 – August 31, 2014.

The PV Talent System training has been designed to capture the variations of the faculty, staff and student modules developed in the system and position descriptions and job posting request have be re-designed with customized workflows for each group. The modular trainings has been split into two tracks, the first track is for Initiator’s (formerly known as Creators) and the second track is for all levels of approvers. The training schedule to plan training for the requisite modules needed by your department is enclosed for your review. To ask additional questions about training please email trainingteam@pvamu.edu. This is an interactive training session; therefore, classroom seats are limited.
